1. What we collect

We collect your phone number for authentication, your family member names (so Rooty knows who's in the group), and a rolling session hash so Rooty can generate daily recaps. We do not collect or store the content of your group chat messages.

2. Message privacy

Rooty processes messages in real time to award points and generate recaps. Message content is never persisted to our database. Only a content hash and category scores are stored.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to run the scoring game, send daily recaps via SMS, and improve the experience. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.

4. Your choices

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. This removes your profile, family members, and all stored scores.
